What is PEMF?
PEMF stands for Pulse electromagnetic fields. Think of the body as a battery. Our bodies as well as animal's bodies rely on electrical and magnetic currents to function starting from the heart, cells, organs, even the largest organ in the body.. the skin. Even some animals rely on magnetic fields for navigation such as birds, frogs, sea turtles, honey bees, dolphins, and rodents! PEMF infuses the same natural energy through low frequencies that the body is made of to aid in regeneration at a cellular level. When the cells are broken down, the PEMF will give the cells an environment it needs to aid in cell growth and detoxification. During this process, other beneficial processes happen such as nitric oxide production which leads to vasodilation as well as free radical balancing which increases blood flow and leads to decrease inflammation! The body does a fantastic job at pulling its blood cells to injured areas to repair the sites that are needed by carrying oxygenated cells to that area. PEMF simply aids in that process to by providing that natural energy. Another great benefit this process also helps with is PEMF stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system helping the body relax. Once we assist the cells in the balance they need, that leads to decreases inflammation, decreases pain, cartilage cell protection, collagen production, increased healing and relaxation. To meet optimal results, it is recommended to use PEMF weekly to biweekly especially in the initial start up and then continue with a maintenance program. The goal is to meet a maintenance program that works for you and your animal.

Focus Area
Does your horse have an abscess, wound, or an acute injury?
The whole body is connected so when there is inflammation or an injury in one spot, the body is compensating in another area. It is recommended to not only focus on one area when it comes to PEMF so that you get a more systemic effect. Please reach out to talk about a focus area and we can discuss a good plan for your animal!

If your horse or dog has an acute injury or an extensive wound this should be cleared by the vet prior to a PEMF session.

Contraindications
Pregnancy

Colic
Electronic device implant ex: (pacemaker)

How it started

Nicole's horse Gus was a huge inspiration for starting PEMF. After hearing about this therapy from a good friend, Nicole decided to include PEMF into his wellness program. Gus has had chronic hind end issues which body work and PEMF has shown the best results when it comes to maintaining his pain, tension and body alignment. PEMF became something that she wanted to expand out to the community and help other horses and canines in need of this therapy. Whether it is for an injury, chronic pain/inflammation, strenuous work routine, or just in need of relaxation, she wants to be the one to help aid your equine or canine partner in the self healing process and provide a positive impact toward their wellbeing.

Nicole's Bio
Nicole has been involved in the horse world since a young age and has continued to be an equine and animal enthusiast. She started out taking horseback riding lessons at 7 years old which led to her obsession. Nicole rode competitively with her horse Brody before taking on her nursing career. She had also taken up the love for teaching horseback riding lessons while going to nursing school.
Fast forward a few years later and now she has been an Emergency Room Nurse for 8 years and was ready to switch the gears back to what she loves most which is working with the animals.

Who inspired canine PEMF? "Roxie"
This is Roxie. Roxie is no longer with us but she was a huge impact on Nicole's drive to help other canines. Roxie was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her hind leg which led to an amputation followed by weeks of low dose chemo, months of physical therapy, vet care, and a positive attitude. With all this support plus Roxie's strong personality, she never skipped a beat!
Roxie survived 2 whole years past her diagnosis!
After seeing how PEMF affects animals and people, Nicole wished she had access to this technology to support her pain, inflammation and self healing. Roxie's story is a huge reason to why she wants to provide this recourse to other canines in the community.

PEMF does not take place of veterinary care, massage care, chiropractor care etc, but is a great addition when working collaboratively with them. My goal is to emphasize the importance of a wellness program and not just utilizing one modality but as a collective team to get best results. I would love to be part of your animal's wellness team today!
If your horse or dog has an acute injury or abnormal behavior please consult with your veterinarian first.
